Monterey Bay Labrador Retriever Rescue advocates feeding grain free kibble or raw food to your dogs. Grain can be a source of allergies and is not something dogs need. For treats, we recommend you choose wheat-free, corn-free, soy-free treats. There are many of these available from our local pet food stores. Raw food contains none of the chemicals and preservatives found in packaged food and dogs thrive on it. It is readily available, already packaged and frozen, and easy to use.
